Although a small minority in the country, the Presbyterian Church has been present in Portugal since the 19th century. It strives to offer a Christian witness rooted in reality and imbued with compassion, helping children and young people to grow in faith, resilience and a sense of responsibility, and to chart healthy, balanced and life-giving paths for themselves and for the world.

Meetings for young people where they were able to discuss and share their views on important topics, such as mental health, resilience, peace, family relationships and personal challenges, in the light of the Gospel.

An ecumenical summer camp was also organised, offering an enriching experience of faith, fellowship and community life. This was a particularly valuable opportunity to share with others facing similar circumstances in a different country.

At the same time, the children took part in activities focusing on faith, friendship and biblical values. These activities attracted a large number of participants and were very well received by both children and parents; they also helped to address the challenges children face today, such as loneliness, insecurity and emotional pressure, by providing a safe and supportive environment that fosters self-confidence, resilience and a sense of belonging.
