Since 2017, several members of the Waldesian communities in the Río de la Plata region have expressed a desire to create a community-based, inclusive learning space rooted in the local context, capable of reviving the popular reading of the Bible. The methodology followed is that of a collective theological training programme.

The result was a collective theological training programme that has gradually established itself as an intergenerational, regional and ecumenical forum, driven by the commitment and creativity of those involved.

The chosen topic focused on a reflection on community experiences from a decolonial perspective, with the aim of creating a space for critical and liberating spirituality.

This community reflection has reaffirmed the conviction that these training practices contribute to a Church that reflects critically on its mission and sees itself as engaged in dialogue with the contexts in which it operates.

"Within the coordination team, we believe that this year’s theme could be revisited at the next seminar, as the times we are living through as humanity compel us to keep dreaming and to build community spaces that open up alternative paths in the face of the individualisation and alienation imposed on us by a system founded on cruelty."
