The Ecumenical Armenia Round Table Foundation (WCC - ART) welcomed Rev. Serge Fornerod, President of the FAP Foundation who had the oportunity to meet children, parents and project's staff participating to the extracurricular educational initiatives (dance, choir, painting, arts, sports - including football and karate - as well as puppet-making, pottery, and other creative activities) jointly implemented in five regions of Armenia - Ararat, Lori, Tavush, Shirak, and Gegharkunik - covering 17 communities.
At the Zangakatoon school, a significant impact on the lives of children in the community was expressed around the sports project that allows young people to face numerous social and educational challenges. In this context, extracurricular education projects fill these gaps by giving children new opportunities for personal expression and development
Also in the region of Ararat, a dance hall has been recently renovated and equipped. The children are trained in ethnographic dances in national costumes provided by the project. Parents noted that extracurricular education projects contribute significantly to strengthening children’s self-esteem and revitalizing community life.
