Elizabeth is a remarkable woman leading an NGO in South Sudan, working in the midst of unimaginable tension and violence. She is deeply committed to supporting women living through war, displacement, and the harsh realities of refugee camps.<\/p>\n
Through her efforts, she organizes training workshops to teach women how to make and sell soap and bread. The income generated from soap sales helps cover part of the children\u2019s school fees. Women who attended the initial workshops have passed on their skills to others, creating a ripple effect of knowledge-sharing that empowers more women and fosters a culture of mutual learning. The NGO also offers workshops on communication and peacebuilding, addressing the ongoing conflicts within the refugee camps, where tribal disputes often lead to violence. While the challenges remain significant and peacebuilding efforts do not always succeed, Elizabeth continues to lead these workshops with unwavering dedication. Occasionally, one person\u2019s heart is touched, sparking a change that reaches another\u2014and in such moments, even the smallest victories are worth celebrating.<\/p>\n

Elizabeth est une femme qui porte \u00e0 bout de bras une ONG au Soudan du Sud, dans un contexte de tensions et de violences que nous arrivons \u00e0 peine \u00e0 nous imaginer.\u00a0Elle fait ce qu\u2019elle peut pour accompagner les femmes dans un contexte de guerre, de d\u00e9placements et de vie en camps de r\u00e9fugi\u00e9s. Elle propose des ateliers de formation permettant aux femmes d\u2019apprendre \u00e0 fabriquer et vendre du savon et du pain. La vente des savons permet de financer une partie des frais de scolarit\u00e9 des enfants. Les femmes ayant particip\u00e9 aux premiers ateliers ont pu partager leur savoir avec d\u2019autres, ainsi elles se forment entre elles et deviennent multiplicatrices de savoir-faire. L\u2019ONG propose aussi des ateliers de communication et d\u2019apprentissage de construction de la paix, car dans les camps de r\u00e9fugi\u00e9s, les conflits se perp\u00e9tuent : les diff\u00e9rentes tribus s\u2019entre-d\u00e9chirent. Il y a beaucoup de violence et la formation \u00e0 la paix n\u2019aboutit pas toujours, mais Elizabeth propose ces ateliers, encore et encore.
